RESULTS

The proposed investment involves the development and implementation of a hybrid hardware and software solution provided on the basis of a CLOUD data processing and storage platform, thus ensuring:

  • Increasing the access of teaching staff, students, doctoral students, postdoctoral students and researchers from “Iuliu Hatieganu” University of Medicine and Pharmacy from Cluj-Napoca to global information resources, by means of accessing and joining European and international database networks.
  • Facilitating the exchange of scientific data, at European and international level
  • The extension of certain functionalities necessary for education and research at the European level, which can be found in public CLOUD digital platforms, such as: Amazon, Microsoft Azure, Google Cloud Platform.
  • Increasing the security of data and results obtained within the university, by implementing a Business Continuity and Recovery Planning solution.
  • Cost reduction with the purchase of IT applications that will be available in the CLOUD.

“Iuliu Hatieganu” University of Medicine and Pharmacy from Cluj-Napoca, through the interconnection agreement agreed with the “Administration Agency of the National Computer Network for Education and Research”, will have access to a suite of applications in the field of education and research, such as open source concept, social media, customer relationship manager, process and document management, database management, e-commerce, sales, marketing and customer support, webmail, software development, Big Data.

The target group is represented by the academic body and researchers of “Iuliu Hatieganu” University of Medicine and Pharmacy from Cluj-Napoca, the students of the educational institution, doctoral students, and post-doctoral students.
